This handcrafted Bidriware cow figurine blends sacred symbolism with minimalist design, making it a beautiful accent for both traditional and contemporary spaces. The smooth black metal body is animated with a finely inlaid silver “blanket” of geometric and leaf motifs, giving the piece a subtle yet eye‑catching sparkle.

Created in Bidar, Karnataka, the figurine is made from a zinc–copper alloy that is engraved, filled with pure silver and then oxidised to achieve the iconic deep black finish of Bidriware. Place it in your pooja room, on a console or work desk as a symbol of prosperity and protection, or gift it to devotees and art lovers who appreciate handcrafted Indian metal décor with cultural meaning.

Product Details
Craft form: Authentic Bidriware metal handicraft originating from Bidar, Karnataka, India.

Material: Zinc–copper alloy base with hand‑inlaid pure silver geometric and leaf patterns forming a decorative saddle on the back.

Design: Stylised standing cow with gently bowed head, detailed horns and legs, and a rectangular silver inlay panel bordered by leaf motifs that mimics a traditional textile drape.

Finish: Signature deep black oxidised surface that sets off the bright silver inlay for a striking contrast.

Utility: Ideal for home temples, spiritual corners, consoles and office desks; also suited as a thoughtful gift symbolising prosperity, nourishment and sacredness.

Crafting process: Cast, filed and engraved by hand, then inlaid with silver wire or sheet before being oxidised using special Bidar soil and ammonium chloride, which blackens the alloy while leaving the silver lustrous.

Heritage value: Represents a 14th‑century Deccan inlay tradition named after Bidar and recognised for its intricate patterns and high‑contrast black‑and‑silver aesthetic.

Care instructions: Wipe with a soft dry cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners, acids and soaking. A light application of oil followed by buffing helps maintain the rich black sheen and highlight the silver work.
